Three Sets of Nine Works.
- Each Work Minted as a limited series of 10, each uniquely numbered.
- One for the artist, and Nine for patrons, supporters, collectors, Guardians.
- A Total of 270 pieces for which Guardians gain more than the personal pride of ownership and support of the artists’ creative works, but also the once-and-only opportunity to be an Inaugural Guardian of the Oceaverse.
- Floor Price shall range from 80 to 7000 MATIC.
The following Launch Galleries do not necessarily reveal the final piece to be auctioned, but may be an illustration of the style of the ultimate piece. (Prices shown are estimated USD; transactions shall be in MATIC)
Why 3 x Nine?
The limited release is a deliberate statement of purpose, an invitation to those supporters for whom the mission is worth the higher entry. It reflects the value of the artists, the curatorial effort, the smart contract and fund governance, and project roadmap.
The next releases and future Phases of Oceaverse shall include more opportunities and assets at lower entry points, as momentum grows and the platform evolves. This includes the coming works from artists around the world, and 9,900 reef proxies which shall cover the 99 most significant reefs around the globe.
And for fans of easter eggs: the number 9 is a reference to the Nine Daughters of the monarchs of the ocean, Ægir and Rán, in Norse/Germanic mythology: Bára (or Drǫfn), Blóðughadda, Bylgja, Dúfa, Hefring, Himinglæva, Hrǫnn, Kólga, and Unnr. For it was my own daughter (and diver) who inspired the birth of this project.
Stay tuned for launch schedule for the next releases.
